A wonderful stay at a great price

We had a wonderful stay for four nights in a Deluxe Matrimonial Room Single (Php 830.00 per night) located on the third floor of the new wing. Our air-conditioned room was spacious and simple yet well designed. We were thrilled to see our huge king-sized bed and a glass window that allows ample natural light. The room is furnished with cable TV, phone, coffee table and chairs, standard closet, a bedside table and lamp. It has private bathroom with shower and toilet.
The De Luxe Rooms is situated on the higher floors in the new wing building with wide balconies. The pensione has no elevator. For elderly, I suggest you book a room on the ground floor.
The place has a large free parking area available to guests. It has a nice garden where you can relax after a long day. The hotel has its own restaurant named "Socsargen Grill" for guests and non-guests.
Overall, we loved our stay at this pensione and we got such a great price that does not dig a hole in the pocket of its guests. We would be happy to stay here again. This place is good for travelers who would be staying for more than a week. Early reservation is a must!

Very comfortable and very well managed. Excellent but never bacon for breakfast although on the menu at attached restaurant. Very good value food and service.
Clean and problems resolved immediately. On arrival we found the shower cold. The maintance man was there repairing it before we returned from front desk.
We had vacated Lazy Park Resort?? (Leyte Park Resort, editorial note) as our request there to repair a Dismal Drip of a shower had not been done for 3 days!!!! We were expected to use next door's shower in a dilapidated unfurnished room!!!

By happenstance, I ventured upon this small, but well-maintained pensione in the heart of Tacloban. It is located next to a fine seafood restaurant and I wondered over to check out the hotel facility.
Rooms in the Standard category were clean and well-maintained, but basic. The rate for their best, matrimonial (double) was a mere 520 pesos.
The attached building with the larger, new Deluxe rooms was booked, but allindications were that these rooms were better and the high end price for a matrimonial there was 830 pesos.
It is worth a look for anyone interested in a safe, clean functional place at a good price in Tacloban. The airport and MacArthur Monument are a thrity minute trike ride away.
They do not do internet bookings and the hotel must be contacted directly. One definite drawback.

Overall 
Rosvenil Pensionne is a pleasant, well-kept accommodation in a quiet location. It is very good value & has a restaurant.
We stayed in a double room with aircon, TV & bath, charging us P500 nightly without breakfast. The shower is pressurized, but not hot & cold. There's also a dresser in some rooms. Rooms are spacious.
Huge parking area with a nice garden. There's a service phone in the lobby. Owner is very friendly. It is close to Dahil Sa Yo, a cheap, popular restaurant in Tacloban.
The place has a homey feel to it.
